Important Features of the Integrated Doctoral Education Program

- Maintain the current rules of the Graduate School for M.S. and Ph.D.
- Two-step selection

- Students should pass the entrance exam for the M.S. program.
- Selection of students for the Integrated Doctoral Education Program take place 6, 12 or 18 months from the M.S. entrance exam.
- Average residency: 4 years. (M.S.+Ph.D.), Minimum Residency: 3 years.
- Student receive M.S. degree during the New Program, by passing an intermediate defense.
- Long-term study experience abroad or at domestic companies [Off Campus Project: 3 to 6 months or more (4 credits: compulsory)] under mutual academic cooperation agreements between Tokyo Institute of Technology and foreign universities or domestic companies.
