Important Features of the Integrated Doctoral Education Program
  • Maintain the current rules of the Graduate School for M.S. and Ph.D.
  • Two-step selection
    Students should pass the entrance exam for the M.S. program.
    Selection of students for the Integrated Doctoral Education Program take place 6, 12 or 18 months from the M.S. entrance exam.
  • Average residency: 4 years. (M.S.+Ph.D.), Minimum Residency: 3 years.
  • Student receive M.S. degree during the New Program, by passing an intermediate defense.
  • Long-term study experience abroad or at domestic companies [Off Campus Project: 3 to 6 months or more (4 credits: compulsory)] under mutual academic cooperation agreements between Tokyo Institute of Technology and foreign universities or domestic companies.
